March 4 this year Qazaq Green held a general meeting of members, which was attended by representatives of JSC NC KazMunayGas, Visor Kazakhstan LLP, Hevel Kazakhstan LLP, ArmWind LLP (ENI company in Kazakhstan), Energy System Researches LLP, Asian Development Bank, Almaty University of Energy and Communication named after G. Daukeev, etc. G. Daukeyev and others.
At the meeting the amendments and additions to the "Rules of technical operation of power plants and networks" (hereinafter - the Rules) in terms of the development of energy storage systems were considered.
The participants unanimously expressed the position that the technical requirements proposed in the draft Rules are unreasonably overstated and are mainly aimed not at smoothing the daily generation schedule of a particular RES facility, but at solving the problems of balancing in the system (flexibility, quality, capacity, etc.). That is, if such amendments are adopted, newly commissioned RES facilities will have to bear the burden of regulation in the UES system of Kazakhstan, which is not inherent to them.
