Association was established in 2018 as a non-profit organisation, promoting renewable energy in Kazakhstan, green economy principles and contributing to the achievement of carbon neutrality by uniting investors, developers, equipment manufacturers, international financial institutions, and universities.

Association members receive a number of important benefits: qualified support on the implementation of RES projects in Kazakhstan at all stages, promotion companies’ interests, obtaining up-to-date information on Kazakhstan RES legal framework, making proposals to government bodies through the Association in order to update regulatory RES documents, obtaining information and analytical support, as well as the opportunity of promoting the company in the Kazakhstan market through the association media channels.

Association is accredited by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan ‘Atameken’ and considered as one of the key expert centers for renewable energy development in Kazakhstan for both government agencies and the business community.

The association is the initiator of the International Renewable Energy Business Festival Qazaq Green Fest (formerly Solar Fest Qazaqstan) and also publishes the industry’s information and analytical journal called QazaqGreen. Furthermore, it operates an informational portal focused on the “green” economy.
